The laser also stimulates collagen production in the skin, making the skin smoother and making stretch marks less visible.

Each session will usually take half an hour. You will wear specific safety eyewear or something to protect your eyes from the laser light. You med spa will also ask you to keep your eyes closed during the procedure.

The laser can feel like you are being pricked by little pins and there can be some mild discomfort. You should feel no pain, however. When the laser procedure is completed, some calming cream and a chemical-free sunblock will be applied to the treated area.

After the procedure, you may have some redness to the treated area for about 24-48 hours. The redness should be hardly noticeable by the third day. It is recommended that you don’t have an event to attend the night of the procedure.

Your skin should feel normal the next day and you should begin to see the effects of skin rejuvenation. There will be no open wounds to the skin there is no healing process. In about 6-8 weeks you will see the desired results from the procedure. Depending on what you are treating, you may require 3 or 4 procedures.

You may want to have your Picoway Resolve Laser treatment in the fall or winter when it is easier to avoid sun exposure. You can do it any time of year, but will need to be attentive to keeping a 30+ SPF sunblock applied.
